Al Salam Desert Camp Oman respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it and how we protect it.
We may collect information you provide when making an enquiry or booking, including:
- Name.
- Email address.
- Telephone or WhatsApp number.
- Check-in and check-out dates.
- Number of adults and children.
- Children’s ages.
- Accommodation preferences.
- Shuttle or pickup requirements.
- Dietary requirements and special requests.
- Identification details where legally required.
Our website may also collect limited technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address and pages visited.
We may use your information to:
- Respond to enquiries.
- Check availability and prepare quotations.
- Confirm and manage bookings.
- Process payments.
- Arrange meals, shuttle services or requested activities.
- Handle amendments, cancellations and complaints.
- Meet legal, accounting and registration requirements.
- Improve our website and guest services.
We do not sell personal information.
We may share limited information where necessary with:
- Authorised camp staff.
- Travel agents or tour operators managing the booking.
- Payment and banking providers.
- Shuttle, transfer or third-party activity providers requested by the guest.
- Government or legal authorities where required by law.
We also use Google Analytics and Google Ads for the measurement described under Cookies and Third-Party Services below, including the optional, consent-based matching of an enquiry to a confirmed booking. Please read that section for the information involved and your choices.
Information about children should be provided by a parent or legal guardian.
We may collect a child’s age and other details required for room occupancy, meals or safety arrangements.
Guests may voluntarily provide information about allergies, mobility, pregnancy or health concerns where relevant to meals, accommodation, transport or activities.
Cookie choices. Necessary cookies support website functions and remember your preferences. WPConsent stores your cookie choice for 30 days. Use Accept All, Reject or Preferences in the banner; use the floating Cookie Preferences button to change your choice later.
Google measurement. We use Google Analytics to measure visits and enquiry submissions and Google Ads to assess advertising performance. Optional analytics and advertising storage follow your Statistics and Marketing choices. Google Consent Mode may send limited cookieless measurement signals when those choices are denied; rejecting cookies does not mean that no information is sent to Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Matching enquiries to confirmed bookings. If Marketing consent is enabled and you arrive with a Google ad click reference, we temporarily retain that reference in this browser tab’s session storage, with a maximum age of 30 days. Withdrawing Marketing consent clears this stored reference. Where a reference is available, our enquiry form offers a separate optional measurement checkbox. Leaving it unchecked does not affect your enquiry or booking.
If you select that checkbox, your ad click reference, capture time, consent time and consent wording version are included in our internal enquiry email with your AS enquiry reference. If a genuine booking is later confirmed, we may submit the ad click reference, confirmation time, booking value and currency to Google Ads to measure advertising. This offline measurement does not include your name, email, phone, message, children’s ages or special requests. An enquiry is not treated as a confirmed booking.
To withdraw this enquiry-specific permission before an upload, email reservations@salamcampoman.com and include your AS reference. Changing browser preferences affects future browser measurement; please contact us about information already submitted.
Other services. Embedded maps and links to Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and WhatsApp may process information under their own privacy policies. You can also manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings.

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or improper disclosure.
Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for booking management, payment records, legal obligations, complaints and business administration.
No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy when legal, technical or operational requirements change.
